The structure of the Villa Savoye is based on pilotis which allowed the free floating facade which was non weight bearing. Using a grid system, Le Corbusier adjusted some of the positionings so as to allow for a more condusive movement through the building, for example moving the pilotis in the car parking area to accommodate the vehicles. I showed the pilotis using a perspex material inbetween floors to allow for a full view of the three floors simultaneously.
